xEnviro 1.08 Developer Update

Earlier today, Andrey Sheybak of xEnviro uploaded new screenshots showcasing the current development version of xEnviro’s next major update 1.08. A rather short but meaningful announcement accompanied these shots:

“A couple of screenshots showing what is now possible with 1.08”

Although there is no official announcement regarding any additional features in 1.08 available yet, these screenshots clearly show all-new and impressive water effects and seasonal representation. It remains to be seen if all these features make it into the release version but judging from these shots, xEnviro’s future does look bright indeed.

Looks promising! Being in New England we are at the tail end of fall so I’m always hoping to see these updates that include Seasons. They are a huge part of life in the Northeast and it’s tough to fly in New Hampshire when everything is green but IRL there is a foot of snow outside. Excited for this!ReplyCancel

The water accumulation effect is outstanding. If they can do that, what are the chances of them being to also do it with snow? That would be a true implementation of seasons in X-Plane.ReplyCancel

Looks nice. However, I wish they would perfect their weather engine before moving on to other enhancements ReplyCancel

Like the lower atmosphere. It struggles when it creates that blanket of fog. Doesn’t blend at all. Makes for very awkward moments. Like a missing tile in an Ortho. But I have high hopes this will all be fixed along with everything else. This is a great product.ReplyCancel

No question it’s a great product, would not fly without it. Just wish they would fix the couple of the issues that would make it even better.ReplyCancel

Wow… Simply wow.. this is not something you’d expect from an ordinary weather engine. Well, it definitely justifies the steep price tag. Only if we could set our own weather (or at least historical)ReplyCancel

Here’s hoping it goes on sale for Black Friday 😀ReplyCancel
